Show synopsis:

"Echoes of the Feminine" is a show that brings to the fore significant fragments of William Shakespeare's famous plays: "Richard III", "Coriolanus" and "Macbeth". The hearing-accessible show explores the complex subtleties of the conflict between the domestic and the political, as well as the devastating impact war has on women, who often become collateral victims. In a bold juxtaposition of classic scenes, the show highlights women's struggle against social and political constraints. From the dark intrigues of the court to the violent battles of war, each scene is a vibrant tableau revealing the intimate dramas and sacrifices of women in the face of political pressures and male power. "Echoes of the Feminine" thus becomes a manifesto of the power and resilience of women, noting their presence and influence in a

society marked by tensions and contradictions.

Company description:

Typography is a community art project whose goal is to create artistic and educational programs that facilitate access to culture. We transformed the space that served the former Tipografie de Sud into a cultural hub, a "cultural touch-up space", which brings together people from various mediums of expression, for a community that grows through art and education. Typography means theater performances, concerts, exhibitions, non-formal training activities, creative community projects, cultural events for experimentation and interactivity.

Director biography:

Laurentiu Tudor is an actor and director active both in the area of independent theater and in that of institutionalized theater. Since 2008, he has shown interest in the non-formal education values of the theater, working intensively as a workshop trainer and collaborating with institutions such as: "Marin Sorescu" National Theatre, Craiova, Arts Department of the University of Craiova , British Council as well as with independent theater companies.

He directed the shows: I am..., Crăiasa Zăpezii by HCAndersen, Hai hoo among the stars by Salex Iatma, Guppy by Vasili Sigarev, How I ate a dog by Evgheni Grișkoveț, Paper planes by Elise Wilk, The Oreste Project, Night of the Assassins by Jose Triana, A summer day by Slawomir Mrozek, The Jester, based on texts by Fernando Pessoa and FM Dostoevsky; Fuchsiada, by Urmuz. He collaborated with the "Marin Sorescu" National Theater in the framework of the "Urban Reaction" community theater project, directing the shows: What would (was) if, Today or tomorrow?, Where do we meet? .In recent years, Laurentiu Tudor has collaborated with important directors invited to create shows at the National Craiovean, to mention the collaborations with Declan Donnellan, Yiannis Paraskevopoulos, Robert Wilson, Phillip Parr, Peter Schneider.
